This translated work of literary fiction is a cozy, slice of life book about the employees and customers of a bookstore. The main character Yoengju needed a change so she decided to change everything about her life and open up the bookstore. Throughout the book you will learn about the circumstances leading up to her decision and the results of the change, both positive and negative. You also learn about characters’ points of view about life, books, work, school, and more. The plot also follows Yeongju’s young employee who makes the coffee and the author that Yeongju interviews for a book talk that slowly becomes more involved in bookshop. Overall, the story is just nice and easy to follow. We have the book here at Langley-Adams Library, but I also recommend the audiobook due to the great narration!
