An author whose mystery books I recommend is Tracy Clark. The library held a zoom program with her a couple of years ago. She is a Black author based in Chicago and her books are based on Black women detectives in the Chicago area.
She has written four books with Cassandra Raines as the main character and two books with Harriet Foster as the main character.
Her books are easy and fast and good mystery reads.
