Congratulations Summer Reading Program Participants! Congratulations to all children who participated in the Children's Summer Reading Incentive Program! This year we had 182 children registered for the "Starship Adventure" program and 43 children registered for the "Read-to-Me" program! Over 62,000 minutes were read during the program! The Langley-Adams Library would like to thank the Friends of the Library for generously purchasing all of the prizes for our children's reading program. Congratulations readers and listeners! You did a great job! |

Hello and welcome to the Children's Page! We have many fun and exciting programs for children and their families at the library! Please check back often for updated information! You can also find out about upcoming events and register for programs on our calendar of events. Programs have a limited amount of spaces available, so please register early. Due to the popularity of our programs Groveland residents may register first for programs. Please see our library calendar for exact dates and times that registration for programs will begin. Grandparents are Great! Story Time (children of all ages and their grandparents)- Fri. 9/11 @ 10:30am- Online registration begins Mon. 8/17 @ 1pm.- Come and listen to some special stories about grandparents and make a craft to celebrate Grandparent's Day! Time Travelers: Count Dracula Fact & Fiction (grades 4-8)- Wed. 9/16 @ 4pm. Online registration begins Mon. 8/17 @ 1pm.- Travel back in time to learn about people and events that have made history. Includes a PowerPoint Presentation and discussion. Reading With Hawke (grades K-3)- Thursdays 9/17, 10/15, & 11/19 all @ 4pm. Registration is required! You must register separately for each program. Please call or come into the library to register- Come and read to Hawke, a Reading Education Assistance Dog! This program is designed to help the child develop his/her reading skills and gain confidence when reading. LEGO Club (grades K-2)- Mon. 9/21 & Mon. 11/16 (Registration is for both days.) both at 4pm- Online registration begins Mon. 8/17 @ 1pm.- Join us to create a masterpiece out of LEGOS! Magic Bean Club: Little Red Riding Hood (grades 1-3)- Mon. 9/28 @ 4pm. -Online registration begins Mon. 8/17 @ 1pm.- Come and listen to different versions of your favorite fairy tales or folk tales and make a related craft. Children's Story Hour Programs: Due to the popularity of our programs, Groveland residents may register online for Fall Session 1 Story Hour beginning on Mon. 8/17 @ 1pm (parents will need their library card number and pin number, which is the last four digits of your phone number). Registration will be opened to the rest of the public as of Thurs. 8/20 @ 10am. Fall Session 1 Story Hour will actually begin the week of 9/7. The table below shows the story hour programs that will be available in the Fall. To register for Fall Session 1 Story Hour please go to our calendar and find the date of the first story hour class (for Tues. participants it will be Tues. 9/8 and for Thurs. participants it will be Thurs. 9/10).
